This formula moves Qi and Blood, removes stagnation or old blood to renew your womb lining. This formula can be used consistently for many different constitution types to minimize menstrual pain, regulate the cycle and ease premenstrual tension. It will also reduce menstrual clotting. It’s supportive to the vaginal microbiome and well balanced to be more neutral to warm in temperature.
Both parsley and tangerine peel are warm in nature while dandelion leaf and wild mint are cooling. Dandelion is mildly detoxifying while wild mint vents heat. Often Qi or Blood stagnation create heat and clearing heat can help reduce pain and irritability. Tangerine peel is a great Qi regulator and also reduces any dampness, which can show up as vaginal microbiome issues (yeast, BV etc). Parsley is warming, moves Blood and also clears dampness.
This formula releases stress and stagnation from the womb and pelvic space and is a great addition to your monthly menstrual care. I recommend using this daily for 3-4 days before flow to support healing menstrual cramps. You can also steam after your bleeding time.
You can also use this formula as an external herbal wash for yeast infections.
Use approximately ½ an ounce per steam session, which is just over 14 grams. For this formula that equates to ¼ cup of plant material. This yields approximately 8-10 steam sessions. You can increase the dosage to 1 ounce for greater potency if needed.
